Who is Sapphy?Sapphy is the type of dragon that points out the names of plants in random places, even when no one asks. She is enthusiastic about learning about as many plants as she can and cannot keep her love of plants to herself. She can often be found taking naps surrounded by her beloved collection. She was also kind enough to let us use her on our Logo, as we spread the word of how awesome plants are.
-
I ordered a plant. When will it ship?We ship our plants on Monday and Tuesday of each week. We want to give all of our plants the shortest shipping times possible - we don’t want to stress them out! - so we do what we can to ensure that they aren’t stuck sitting in a warehouse over a weekend.
-
I ordered plants and another item. Will they all ship together?Yes! We’ll ship all of your items along with your plants, on Monday or Tuesday of each week.
-
I ordered a few retail items, but no plants. When will they ship?"As soon as possible! If your order doesn’t contain anything ‘perishable’, it will be shipped out ASAP.
-
What does a ‘Plant Consulting’ session cover? That’s completely up to you! Everyone is in a different place on their plant journey, so we don’t offer a set ‘cookie cutter’ approach. We’re here to help YOU! Topics to be discussed may include: plants you like, plants you feel like you can’t keep alive, different types of soil mediums, watering schedules for particular plants, your plants wishlist, how to get bigger leaves, why moss poles matter, and just about anything else plant-y you can think of.
-
What is the best way to propagate a plant? This depends on the plant itself. Most plants are fine with being propagated in water, but some may benefit from extra measures like sphagnum moss or perlite. Succulents, for the most part, even can be propagated directly into dirt. If you have a propagated plant that hasn’t produced roots for a while, try moving it to a warm spot, like a windowsill, or putting it on a heat pad. One universal tip: let the plant heal or callous over before placing in water or other substrate.
