Sapphire Dragon Gardens is the plant shop for everyone. We’re not plant elitists, although we do love those rare beauties, and we stock ‘em whenever we can. We love helping people find plants that will actually thrive in their lives, whether that’s a handful of easy-peasy leafy greens or dozens of carefully curated purchases.
If you’re a plant person, you’re in the right place. What is a “plant person,” you ask? To me, it’s anyone who loves plants. You don’t have to be an expert to shop with Sapphy. I welcome customers who are buying their very first leafy friend and clients who have built a plant labyrinth even the jungle would be jealous of. Wherever you find yourself on your plant journey, I’m here to educate you and help you build a plant collection you love.
Hi, I'm Sandra – the owner of Sapphire Dragon Gardens
…and a serious plant enthusiast. I got a degree in chemistry, thinking that I’d work in a scientific field until I could retire and play with plants whenever I liked. After about a decade of working in the Wine Industry as an Enologist, it hit me. Why am I waiting to retire to do what I love? Now I get to combine my scientific prowess and my planty passion to help you find and care for the coolest plants around. I’m living my dream, vegging out with vegetation whenever I want – and I love the community we’ve built together along the way.

Your home is its own ecosystem! Humidity, lighting, temperature, type of water used to water with, all add up to create a unique environment for your plants.

Many houseplants are proliferated through propagation rather than through seed germination. Throw out what you know about seeding a garden, it's time to take some cuttings instead!
